Requirements

The Assistant Director of Logistics is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Customer Service & Work Management Center. The Assistant Director for Logistics will oversee

Maintenance Scheduling and the Work Management Team. This position will oversee the:
  • Receipt and dissemination of work requests and facilities related trouble calls originating from the Main Campus and Medical Center. Incumbent has full oversight of c
  • Communication for all work the department performs and will serve as the primary contact for the Building Coordinators or equivalent building/school area representative.
  • Supervision of the Work Management Center


This position reports directly to the Director of Facilities Services along with the Maintenance Planner, the Safety and Training Officer. Reporting directly to the position are four Engineering Office Coordinators. The position has very broad autonomy while ensuring that all work requests are processed through the CMMS system, work is planned, scheduled and coordinated, with effective and efficient communication utilized, customer complaints are resolved, and timely reports are produced.

Qualifications

Degree Program (list): BS or BA in Facilities, Engineering or related field preferred.

Practical Experience (years needed and type required):
  • Five or more years of experience in operations (preferably in O&M); three or more years of supervisory experience.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Knowledge of computer maintenance management systems is preferred.


Other Skills:
  • Must have an excellent command of the English language in both speech and writing.
  • Must be able to hear and communicate effectively via phone and radio.
  • Requires strong customer service skills and orientation.
  • Valid driver license desired as incumbent may be required to report to work when public transportation is unavailable.
  • Additionally, this person may be required to operate a snow plow/spreader truck at various times throughout the day, night or weekends.
