Position Description:
The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Information Technology Services is seeking a Change Management Lead with an exceptional commitment to service excellence to join the team. As the Change Management Lead, you will be an integral member of the Learning Management System program team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to enable a world-class, integrated teaching and learning experience for faculty and students that sets the standard for teaching excellence, academic achievement, and inclusivity.

The Change Management Lead will oversee the organizational change management portfolio, resources, and team to enable the adoption and rollout of UCLA's new Learning Management platform. This role coordinates change activities across UCLA's LMS team, including the Academic Team, Technical Implementation Team, LMS Center of Excellence Team, and provides an understanding of benefits and risks around the rollout of new tools, technologies, experiences, and opportunities. The Change Management Lead will guide the team to establish a standard change management methodology encompassing processes, activities, tools, KPIs, and reporting strategies. This role will execute UCLA's vision while championing the university's culture and values.

Activities include: Manages and guides the Organizational Change Management (OCM) team members to develop appropriate organizational change management strategies for UCLA's new Learning Management platform; serves on the Program Leadership team alongside the Canvas Teaching & Learning Lead, Technical Lead, LMS Product Manager, and Canvas Specialist; maintains strong cross-functional relationships to build a deep understanding of UCLA's Canvas Platform, its many learning environments, the university, and organizational culture; partners across the university to provide thought leadership and change management guidance that enables organizational readiness and execution towards sustained transformational change; cultivates strong relationships with faculty, students, academic support staff, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent, reliable service is delivered to a range of university stakeholders; drives organizational change through a number of interactive channels such as Town Halls, survey tools, and focus groups; collaborates with UCLA's LMS Leadership team to ensure that change messaging is appropriately communicated to the organization; monitors and reports regularly on change efforts and progress via common project management activities such as status reporting; maintains open lines of communication with UCLA Leadership team, university stakeholders, faculty, and students; maintains currency with industry standards, best practices, and trends in higher education; leads effort to make continual improvements to increase the effectiveness of change activities; encourages OCM team to socialize day-to-day observations to catalyze process improvements; fosters responsibility, accountability, and ownership in team members; contributes to an inclusive environment by building and maintaining collaborative relationships with team members, peers, and leaders.
