Salary: $4,842 - $9,591 monthly
Under the minimal supervision of the SON Associate Dean for Research and Director of Grants Administration, the Senior Fund Manager (FM) will manage and oversee all facets of pre-award development and post-award administration of Federal, State, private and clinical research contracts, grants, and training grants for assigned faculty. Provide pre-award support including available research agencies and funding opportunities, grant preparation, budget, budget justification, and required forms completion. Provide post-award support for all funded grants for assigned faculty including review of award notice and updating PI of notice, establish and manage the grant budget from the start to finish of grant, and providing financial analysis and long-range planning for all awards, to include faculty salaries, staff salaries, and other project related expenses. Oversee operations of post-award activation and administration. Review and recommend new administrative organizational policies and procedures to improve awards administration and overdraft minimization. Serve as the School's resource in areas of sponsored research and fund management. Serve as a liason with campus offices in fund management related issues. In conjunction with the research office personnel, develop and maintain an investigator manual for PIs on grant preparation and management. Keep faculty updated on grant guidelines, and updates from granting agencies. Develop and maintain a database to track all submitted proposals for School of Nursing, including funded and non-funded proposals, required certifications, and required faculty information. Coordinate with the CFO and Financial Manager to clear overdrafts on sponsored and non-sponsored funding. The Senior FM will provide other research administration related support as needed and complete special projects as assigned by the Associate Dean for Research and/or Director of Grants Administration.
