Job Description

The Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I) is seeking a Program Coordinator to support day-to-day center operations, strategic initiatives, and research projects. PC3I aims to inspire, design, and advance solutions to make cancer care better by improving health and healthcare for patients with cancer, increasing efficiency and reducing costs while improving cancer care outcomes, and catalyzing innovation in cancer care. PC3I's portfolio includes projects to discover, translate, test, and scale new strategies for cancer care delivery with Penn Medicine and external partners.

The Program Coordinator will provide administrative and research support with oversight from PC3I leadership, project principal investigators, and project managers. The Program Coordinator will support the development of project documentation, including project plans, study protocols, standard operating procedures, and IRB and other regulatory documents; support project execution by conducting literature reviews and data collection; support the drafting of reports, memos, abstracts, manuscripts, presentations, and proposals; provide administrative support for the PC3I Director and Managing Director, including calendar coordination, travel planning and reimbursements; coordinate meetings and events, including scheduling, catering, preparing meeting materials, and AV setup; and support other PC3I administration and communication activities as assigned.

The Program Coordinator will join an interdisciplinary team of scientists, clinicians, administrators and technical personnel with deep experience in their fields. This is an ideal position for an individual seeking experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and exposure to cutting edge research in cancer care innovation.

Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 1 year of research experience in a clinical or academic setting or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; demonstrated ability to identify and utilize available resources and manage multiple priorities concurrently; strong interpersonal skills, judgment, and diplomacy to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders; proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred qualifications: knowledge of software for reference management (e.g., EndNote, Zotero), electronic data capture (e.g., REDCap), content management and collaboration (e.g., Box, Smartsheet), websites (e.g. WordPress), and design (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Photoshop).
