Position Details:

Summary of Duties:

The successful candidate, under the direction of Dr. Meehan, will take a lead role implementing projects and analyses, including managing research teams and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. The postdoctoral scholar will work with Dr. Meehan to analyze data, write grants, and co-write papers. The successful candidate will also have some opportunity to develop their own research foci in ways that complement the lab’s research.

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD at time of hire.

  • The candidate must have demonstrable skills in oral and written communication (including a strong publication record).

  • A background in one of the following is required: 1) evolutionary social science, 2) milk composition, 3) microbiome, 4) quantitative analyses, and 5) infant and child development.

  • Highly desired skills include strong analytical skills (especially in R).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will be skilled at working both as an independent researcher and as part of a research team.

  • Engagement in interdisciplinary research and bioinformatics skills are also desirable.
