Required Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited college or university or Secretarial/Administrative Diploma program with emphasis in a medical/dental setting and one year experience Or High School diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization with a minimum of four years experience in a medical/dental office Familiar with managing an office multi-provider appointment system. Must have acquired enough experience to organize and prioritize tasks. Must have valid state issued drivers license to operate AU vehicles.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Preferred Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor degree in Secretarial Science or Business Administration; supplemented by excellent written and verbal communication skills; five to six years administrative experience allowing for progressive responsibilities in a medical/dental office setting. Experiences should include working for multi-providers in a health care setting.Responsibilities This position will assist with the coordination and administrative efforts as directed by the Director for Patient Services. The job involves quality control by reviewing proposed treatment plans, demographic information, insurance eligibility and outside referral requests for accuracy and compliance with SOD policies. Communicates by correspondence, telephone, computer and personally to provide information, explain and resolve minor problems for pre-doctoral student program. Responsible for assisting in monitoring student's use of the appointment system taking appropriate actions. Duties include inputting students¿ rotation data; maintaining internal referrals and generating student reports as needed. Greets department customers and assist when required. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Receives all incoming supplies and equipment orders; checks condition and for possible discrepancies; stores/distributes items; prepares receiving documents indicating quality, quantity, and description
  • Serves as liaison to vendors, purchasing department, and accounts payable
  • Receives residents personal belongings; completes inventory paperwork and files appropriately; maintains orderly location of stored items; pulls/packages/updates paperwork accordingly for items requested from inventory
  • Serves as back up to Office Assistant and other Business Office positions as required; including, but not limited to, regular coverage of: Reception duties, Copying/Filing, Parking Decals, Expense Spreadsheet(s)/Tracking
  • Works with Health eShop Shoppers and places requisitions in PeopleSoft; Also assists with obtaining quotes, completion of appropriate purchasing paperwork
  • Labels all incoming equipment with proper identification numbers; Maintains items descriptions and corresponding location; Prepares paperwork for salvage or transfer of equipment; Works with IT, Administrative Assistant, Director of Maintenance, vendors, and other AU parties as needed regarding equipment throughout facility
  • Responsible for training of Business Office staff in all aspects of the duties performed by Office Associate
  • P-Card Reconciler; Reviews bank statements for accuracy; Works with card holders for receipts, paperwork, and signatures; Coordinators sign off with Director of Business Services and Executive Director Allocates purchases, etc. in Works
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Shift/Salary Shift: Days/M-F Pay Grade: 9 Salary: $13.01/hr - $16.20/hr Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position Recruitment Period: 3/29/2021 - until filledConditions of Employment All candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.Conditions of Employment In conjunction with an offer of employment, selected candidate(s) will be required to successfully complete Augusta University’s Criminal Background Check process.
