Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Busines Administration, Management or related field, and three years of recent progressively responsible experience in a related field or' equivalent combination of training and experience. At least 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity. At least 1 year experience in dental or medical field.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to investigate and analyze information and make administrative decisions and judgments on confidential issues. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of dental/medical office business practices. Ability to maintain confidentialityPreferred Qualifications Office manager in dental or medical office with knowledge of CDT/CPT codes and experience with dental and medical insurance.

Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations and assists in all areas of the Dental Associates clerical team to include communication to dental assistants, hygienists, and provider to result in excellent patient care. Receives incoming requests from Veterans Affairs, registers patients and contacts appropriate department for treatment to be scheduled. Updates monthly spreadsheet of Veterans Affairs charges and payments. Constant review of patient accounts of unpaid balances and submitting to Transworld when unable to receive a response for patients. Responsible for the management of scheduling guidelines for over 40 providers and hygienists to improve production goals. Creation of schedule templates for each provider and hygienist. Review next day appointments for any discrepancies or issues. Checking in and out of patients to include reviewing and obtaining new information of patient electronic record, reviewing provider’s charges and collection of patients’ portion. Scheduling patients for return appointments and reviewing for any needed appointments include pulling reports for annual and pending appointments. Reviewing with Scheduling coordinators monthly reports generated to include pending appointments and recall appointments for providers and hygienists that need to be scheduled. Creating mail merge letters for correspondence to patients to include, unable to contact, provider has relocated, dismissal and welcome to new patients. Reviewing appointment schedules for missed or failed appointments and contacting patients for rescheduling via phone, letters, or email. Manage time and attendance system on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy of work and leave time. Balancing of all funds collected in clinic on a daily basis.
