The Slone Epidemiology Center, a multidisciplinary research center, is seeking a doctoral-level Epidemiologist to conduct independent epidemiologic research from inception to completion including management of data and bio repositories, concept development, protocol development, data collection, analysis, and publication and presentation of scientific results and to assist current faculty in the same. The responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting in securing research funding by supplying to idea and concept development and writing of successful grant and contract proposals; implementing research plans and conducting research projects in accordance with the scientific aims while adhering to all compliance protocols; assisting with the development of analytic plans and conducting sophisticated statistical analyses, being responsible for data management and sample handling for bio repositories; giving to the interpretation of results, writing reports for sponsors, writing scientific manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals, and communicating findings at scientific conferences; and maintaining and encouraging research collaborations with external investigators.

Required Skills
  • Candidate must have a doctorate in epidemiology or related field
  • 3 or more years of research experience in a post-doctoral position
  • Advanced analytic, writing and oral communication skills
  • Advanced skills in SAS programming
