Job Summary  

Provide data analysis, management, and reporting for Office Student Financial Aid (OSFA) Eligibility and Compliance Unit.  Identify requirements, collect data, and interpret results for Federal and State funded programs.  Lead projects and initiate and implement process improvements.  Assist in the management of the unit and participate in a leadership role in OSFA operations and initiatives. This position will interact on a consistent basis with:  OSFA staff and management, State and Federal agency personnel.This position typically will advise and counsel:  OSFA staff, financial aid applicants, recipients, families, campus partners.This position will supervise: NA

Responsibilities  

Job Duty 1 -
Manage the Eligibility & Compliance Unit processes and technical requirements.

Job Duty 2 -
Prepare routine and ad hoc data reports for OSFA purposes using a variety of techniques ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining.   Write SQL scripts and execute BANNER processes.

Job Duty 3 -
Analyze data related to eligibility and management of Federal Pell Grants, Federal Direct Loans, HOPE/Zell Miller scholarships and NCAA/ACC requirements.

Job Duty 4 -
Lead projects to review, initiate, and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit and the department.

Job Duty 5 -
Serve as Unit Level Coordinator for systems testing.

Job Duty 6 -
Serve as a training resource for OSFA staff.

Job Duty 7 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications  

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Five years of job related experience

SKILLS
Must have strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.  Must be able to prioritize tasks and projects.  Strong data analytics, database management, and report writing skills are required.  Advanced skills in Microsoft Office especially Excel are required.  Must be expert in BANNER Financial Aid module.  Must be able to write and execute expert SQL scripts.  Must be able to write and modify Crystal Reports.

Other Required Qualifications
Due to the nature of this position, the schedule will require work outside of a normal work schedule on occasion.
