Posting DetailsPosting Number: 0601252 Position Category: Student Services Paraprofessional/Professional Job Title: Assistant Graduate Recruiter - Part-time Position Code: 00657X Position Type: Staff Department: Graduate School Nature of Work: The primary duty of the Assistant Graduate Recruiter is assist our Recruiting Staff in processing graduate applications and contacting graduate applicants who are still lacking in submitting their remaining required documents. Other duties include ensuring proper documentation and verification of prospective students and applicants in Banner. Collaborates with staff team members to promote internal and external recruitment and admission of qualified graduate students. Advises prospective graduate students on admission processes, Participates in selection, and orientation of graduate students. Works with colleges and departments to support implementation of college recruitment and admission plans as well as to support institutional goals for retention and student advancement. Works closely with other Graduate School Staff on other duties as may be assigned by other Recruitment Staff or the Executive Director of Graduate School. Training and Experience: Bachelor's degree desirable, but associate degree or high college level as a senior (80 hours and above) is sufficient, experience in college admission process could be a plus but not required. Skills and experience in some computer knowledge such as the use of Microsoft Office Productivity suite (Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) and over proficiency in the use of technology is required; excellent interpersonal relations and communication skills; ability to exercise courtesy, tact and sensitivity with team members and customers; exceptional phone skills; ability to handle confidential information and sensitive information; previous customer service/marketing or recruitment experience; creativity and the ability to pay close attention to detail; flexibility with schedule to work variable shifts during the week; experience in the following: Banner GaCollege411, Oracle, SQL and Crystal Reports or 3rd party access tool is plus but not required; performs other duties as may be assigned. Testing Requirements:Illustrative Examples of Work: Advises and assists prospective students with application procedures, the admissions process and program information; enters and maintains student information into Banner when assigned, XAP and other technology tools used to manage and track student enrollment; verifies receipt of documents for prospective students; works with other Staff to produce information packages for admitted students; performs follow-up events and procedures; balances multiple and varied tasks; analyzes and evaluates situations, processes and procedures to determine or recommend best business practices and recommend changes as needed; provides marketing and outreach to appropriate target populations; completes reports, documents, schedules, records and forms; may travel to public schools, universities, other organizations and recruitment fairs with Staff; staffs the university booth at various education and career fairs on and off campus; performs other job-related duties as assigned.
