Job Description:

TCS Education System is hiring a Treasury and Accounting Intern to join the Finance team. The Treasury and Accounting Intern will work alongside Senior Analysts as well as the Senior Director of Risk and Treasury to support the administration of various treasury and accounting functions in higher education. This internship is a great opportunity to learn about treasury management and gain exposure to accounting tasks. This is a summer internship (June through August) is scheduled for 20-25 hours per week.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with maintaining records of cash and investments activities
• Support the maintenance of the cash projection
• Assist with preparation for the year-end audit
• Assist with preparation of the annual tax returns (IRS Form 990)
• Aid Accounting team members with account balance reconciliations
• Provide administrative and ad hoc project support to Finance
• Assist with month end and year end financial reporting

Position Requirements:

• Familiarity with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Professional demeanor
• Accurate data entry skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong verbal, written communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to work collaboratively

Position Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; senior level preferred
