Weekend - 2nd shift - Large Animal Attendant
TemporaryEssential Job Duties:
This temporary position will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary hospital, restraining horses and farm animals for procedures, lifting and moving hay bales, feed bags, etc. Operate forklift and other small equipment. Small animal backup, same duties.

Weekends - 2nd shift; up to 24 hoursMinimum Experience/Education:
Previous experience with handling/restraint of equine and farm animals, animal husbandry, cleaning and disinfection, basic facility maintenance skills.Department Required Skills:
Must be able to work weekend evenings/nights.
Knowledge of and experience with various species of livestock
Must be able to lift up to 70lbs
Operate equipment (forklift, pressure washer, basic power tools,etc), manage inventory, accurately measure chemicals for dilution, practice safe and humane handling of all patients.
Ability to communicate effectively, work on a team effectively, and work in compliance with all policies and procedures, including safety.
Preferred experience in working in a veterinary setting, working knowledge of compliance with an infectious disease control program, working knowledge of established safety program including compliance with OSHA and veterinary certifications such as AAHA, AVMA, etc.Required License or Certification:
