This position is on site at our Cullowhee campus.
This position supports institutional research, data reporting and analysis for the university, and is responsible for data reporting to the University of North Carolina System Office. Responsibilities include:
-Using social research principles, methods and processes to conduct inquiries on University data;
-Supporting the needs of enrollment management, student success, strategic planning and institutional effectiveness by developing data models and reports;
-Creating data reports for campus decision-makers on key performance metrics such as enrollment, retention, graduation, space utilization, and cost analysis;
-Supporting required state and federal reporting;
-Contributing to data projects of the university Data and Analytics Team;
-Responding to ad hoc data requests from within the university community;
-Providing technical support for University reporting to the UNC System Office.

-Experience with programming
Bachelor’s degree with nine credit hours in programming and one year of experience in business application consulting or development; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in mathematics, computer science, computer information systems, or related field. Experience and background in institutional research or operations research. Work experience in higher education. Knowledge of and experience with Banner by Ellucian ERP system, or Oracle databases. Programming experience with Structured Query Language (SQL). Four years of experience with data analysis and reporting. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.Anticipated Hiring Range:
