Academic HR Analyst Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 22827294 Full Time 8AM - 5PM $61,600 - $91,400 Position Information Under the general supervision of the Academic Personnel (AP) and Human Resources (HR) Director, serves as the lead academic resource professional for a wide range of human resources functions for academic employees in the Graduate School of Education (GSOE) and the School of Public Policy (SPP). Assists in developing AP/HR related strategies to support each School's strategic objective to attract, build, promote, and retain a diverse and highly competent workforce. Leads activities supporting academic HR-related competencies in the following areas: Employment and selection, labor relations, and school wide policy interpretation and implementation. Develops communication methods to ensure that management, faculty and other academics across the organization are properly informed, trained and oriented to academic human resource practices, processes and procedures. Analyzes, formulates, and recommends academic personnel actions on behalf of the Dean's office. Manages payroll, benefits and personnel actions for academic personnel within the GSOE and SPP both at the Control Unit and at the Academic Department Level. Serves as back-up for the HR Generalist 3 who operates as the lead HR professional for a wide range of staff personnel functions for staff employees in the GSOE and SPP. The budgeted hiring range is up to $80,000. Education Education Requirements Degree Requirement Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required
Experience Experience Requirement 4 - 7 years of related experience. Required
Minimum Requirements Thorough knowledge of organization and college goals, priorities and values and the legal and human implications of decisions.
Ability to analyze complex management issues, develop project scope and solutions, give professional advice to senior officials and make critical decisions regarding personnel.
Thorough knowledge of systemwide and organization policies, union contracts, procedures and practices that govern academic HR administration.
Knowledge of trends in academia, especially in areas of academic planning, human resource management and administration.
Excellent critical and innovative thinking to address moderately complex issues and present nuanced analyses.
Requires thorough knowledge of and ability to apply/interpret organization and college policies and procedures which govern academic HR.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
Knowledge of a human resources management system (HRMS), and/or other related business software programs and systems.
Experience working with people diverse across race, ethnicity, and language.
A cultural competency in working with historically marginalized communities.
Exceptional attention to detail and an ability to follow through with instructions.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an academic environment.

Demonstrated experience with UCPath, ServiceLink, or other payroll/human resources systems.
