The Staff Support Associate plays a key role in customer satisfaction for the Perioperative Services department, as well as the UKHC enterprise. The primary job function of the SSA is to provide services to assist patient families, and ensure communication between the physician and Perioperative Services staff. The individual in this position must be able to resolve issues arising on a daily basis and function as a patient/family representative. This job requires multi-tasking responsibilities and problem resolution, and excellent customer service for patient families which is essential in marketing the image and mission of UK HealthCare. Not only does Surgery Waiting host more than 50,000 visitors a year, the location of the waiting room attracts thousands of additional visitors searching for unrelated assistance and locations within the enterprise. Surgery Waiting is often the first opportunity to interact with patients and visitors and, as such, plays a critical role in making a positive impact on all of our patrons and customers.Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
Basic administrative skills such as receptionist abilities (including phone, keyboarding, filing, and fax machine skills); knowledge of medical terminology; and excellent interpersonal skills.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
