Position Summary:

Governors State University is seeking to hire an Associate Director of Admissions, Outreach. This position has the primary goal of leadership for development and implementation of a recruiting plan consistent with institutional growth and development. The Associate Director will
interact on a daily basis with prospective students, parents, high school and community college staff and administration. The Associate Director will work collaboratively with GSU staff, faculty and administration to meet the University’s strategic enrollment management goals. The Associate Director is responsible for fostering and maintaining external relationships and programs; enabling early exposure to prospective students as well as to recruit a diverse population of students at all levels with particular emphasis on lower division (freshmen originating at GSU as well as transfer).
In addition, the Associate Director will be responsible for the testing, training and implementation of the Slate CRM’s territory management, prospective student information, i.e. PSAT/SAT, ACT,
Transfer, GRE, GMAT, etc.), dashboard tracking, communications plans and workflows. This position will leverage the list purchases and the CRM to develop a lead generation model to increase target inquiries and applications while increasing the conversion and yield rate for undergraduate freshman and transfer students.
The Associate Director supervises recruitment specialists who recruit in the community colleges and high schools. The Associate Director will assign recruitment specialists to specific a territory along with determining targeted goals. These goals will be based on high school and community college participation rates. In addition to territory management, the Associate Director will establish communication responsibilities for the recruitment specialists including but not limited to the promotions of visits, onsite admissions, college fairs, transfer and community events and progression of these students through the enrollment funnel based on assigned territory. These communications must build the GSU brand and connect the prospective student to our campus community. This high touch model will transition student from off campus communications to an on campus experiences and enrollment.

Salary Range: $49,689.90 to $57,143.39.
(This is a non-unionized position. Salary starts at the base and is determined based on Education and Experience exceeding the minimum qualifications).

Minimum Qualifications:

REQUIRED: COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY TRANSCRIPTS, WHICH INCLUDES THE EARNED DEGREE AND CONFERRED DATE MUST BE ATTACHED FOR CONSIDERATION OF THIS POSITION (See “Special instructions to applicants” section below).

1.Bachelor’s degree.

2.A total of one (1) year (12 months) in education, training and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position. (Note: Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience.).

3. Three (3) to five (5) years of professional experience in college/university Admissions.

Preferred Qualifications:

1, Master’s degree from an accredited college/university.
2. Slate or CRM experience with communication and drip campaigns.
3. Slate or CRM query and report writing experience.
4. In addition to required experience: 2+ years of experience in a professional role outside college admission.
5. Experience with constituents similar to those attending GSU (transfer students, diverse demographics).
