CNNC advances the capacity of immigrants and refugees by building bridges between immigrant populations and existing communities throughout NC via community-based outreach and advocacy, educational programming, research and evaluation, immigrant and refugee leadership development, cultural brokering, and educational opportunities for faculty and studentsPosition Summary:
This position will implement grants activites and provide research and input to meet the goals of assisting immigrants and refugee populations through community-based outreach, advocacy, and programming.Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years experience, in a Human Services discipline with coursework related to the area for assignment. A degree in Social work is preferred.
Candidates must have professional experience in working with immigrant populations and demonstrated experience of leadership skills necessary to help manage and supervise AmeriCorps members, program staff, interns and volunteers as well as a culturally diverse environment. Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish.
Master’s in Social Work preferred•Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally and pleasantly with individuals from a wide range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds and education levels•Ability to work independently, solve problems creatively, and seek resources to solve problems as needed•Ability to organize tasks and time and assist others in organizing tasks and time•Ability to work as part of a team and to lead a team•Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher.Tenure Status:
