SUMMER INSTRUCTOR

SUMMARY:

Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred; Secondary teaching certification in related field able to teach the subjects of Math, Science, and English including grammar and composition and Foreign Language (Spanish) a plus; at least two years teaching experience; previous experience working with underrepresented students preferred. Preference given to candidates from low-income and first-generation college student backgrounds.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop courses to reflect the Upward Bound Program mission and the participants' academic needs (tutoring); function as members of the team whose efforts are directed toward the total development and well being of program participants; work closely with academic counselor and other program staff. Reporting the progress of participants as well as perform other duties as assigned.
