Position description

The School of Nursing is accepting applications for a faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor level in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series in the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program. Responsibilities include teaching in an online hybrid DNP Program, curriculum development, and mentorship to graduate students. Leadership opportunities are also available including Program Director and Associate Dean appointments.

The UCI School of Nursing is distinguished by its community-based approach to promoting, improving, and sustaining health and wellness throughout the community using informatics, mobile apps, and Internet of Things to advance whole person health. It is one of four academic units in the College of Health Sciences which includes a School of Medicine, Program in Public Health, and School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION: Candidates are required to have a terminal doctoral degree in nursing such as a DNP, PhD, EdD, or DNSc, hold an active (or eligible) unrestricted California RN license and BRN certification as a nurse practitioner, and must be nationally board certified as a Nurse Practitioner. Candidates must additionally have experience in APRN program leadership, clinical and didactic teaching, as well as exhibit a record of scholarship.
