The Department of Communication, History, & Philosophy seeks applications from qualified candidates for an adjunct teaching position in broadcast journalism beginning Fall 2021. Teaching of upper-division undergraduate courses in Journalism is expected. Summer teaching assignments may be available but are not guaranteed.
Required Education and Experience:
Fluent in Spanish
A Master’s degree in Communication or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Communication
A minimum of two years college or university teaching experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Willingness to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Experience in a hands-on learning student newsroom
Familiarity with the needs of a non-traditional, first-generation, culturally diverse student body.
Familiarity with high-impact educational practices such as cooperative education, service learning, and undergraduate research.
Experience with contemporary instructional technologies such as learning management systems and e-portfolios.
