Job Description

Texas A&M University-San Antonio seeks two full-time, non-tenure-track Integrated Reading and Writing lecturers. The positions will begin in Fall 2021 and will have a base 4/4 teaching load. Teaching of lower division undergraduate courses such as Composition I, Composition II, and Technical Writing may also be expected.

Required Education and Experience:

  • A Master’s degree in English or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.

  • A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in English.

  • A minimum of one year college or university teaching experience

  • Experience teaching integrated reading and writing

  • Experience teaching non-traditional, first-generation, culturally diverse students preferred

  • Experience with contemporary instructional technologies such as learning management systems and e-portfolios preferred

  • Complete Ph.D. in English or related field preferred

We cannot accept transcripts issued directly to the candidate. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator (e.g., AACRAO; http://www.aacrao.org/credential/index.htm).
