The Marketing Communications Office publicizes news about people, events and activities at UNT Dallas College of Law. Communication and marketing efforts are focused in advertising, student recruitment marketing, web development, and social media. The department helps to drive increased enrollment, retention, engagement, partnerships and support, while driving publicity and overseeing internal and external communications.Position Summary:
The ideal candidate would have a strong understanding, as well as experience with Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn marketing. Strong writing and editing skills are a plus. We are looking for a student assistant who can serve as a Social Media Marketing Associate to handle everyday social media marketing, blogs/newsletters, and general digital presence and event coordinating responsibilities. As a social media expert, you should be familiar with submitting a visually pleasing resume with backlinks to sample content of your work, which should include eye-catching photos, artwork, and sample writings.
EXAMPLES OF WORK:
•Create content with proper grammar
•Create visuals on Canvas for social media posts
•Interview peers and faculty for news articles
•Obtain photos and zoom screenshots from student competitions and other events
•Study marketing industry trends
•Research law schools web content throughout the country
•Be a brand ambassador for the UNT Dallas College of Law on all social media platforms
Currently enrolled UNT Dallas College of Law student in good standing and making satisfactory progress toward completion graduate degree program. Applicants must possess the following:
- Excellent customer service skills, as well as effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Thorough knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks independently.
- Proficiency to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data, and to prepare reports from such records.
- Good interpersonal skills and ease in relating to people from varying educational, cultural and social backgrounds.
- Responsible, reliable and punctual.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work of others.
- Considerable knowledge of academic requirements and policies, or of administrative procedures relative to the area of employment.
