STANDARD HOURS: 40 hours per week. Typical hours Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; occasional evenings and weekends, ability to flex schedule to meet customers' needs.

MINIMUM STARTING SALARY*: $64,627/year

*Current benefit eligible employees will be placed within the pay range based on their current rate/range.

POSITION SUMMARY

Cultivate and maintain business relationships to secure business-to-business sales of customized training programs and consulting and technical assistance services. Seek out purchasing decision makers and develop working relationships. Design and deliver presentations highlighting the training and technical assistance products and services of the College. Prepare contract proposals for clients and close sales. Accountable to meeting assigned revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction goals.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Secure new business, maintain customer relationships, provide on-going support, and serve as the primary point of contact with business client group.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies in an effort to meet established sales quotas.
  • Write proposals for training and technical assistance activities.
  • Coordinate the design, development and implementation of customized training programs including the selection and hiring of faculty and consultants.
  • Participate in the design of customized training programs to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with College Advancement team to submit grant applications to secure State funding for training needs for businesses throughout our District.
  • Attend training sessions, conferences, trade shows and other business networking events to cultivate relationships.
  • Works collaboratively with sales support, coordinators, finance, and all departments of the College.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: A minimum of an associate degree in communication, business administration or marketing, or a bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.

Experience: Three years of related experience. Knowledge in instructional design or training methodologies a plus.

**An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
