Beginning in the Fall Semester of 2021 the graduate level GIS and Geospatial Online Certificate from the Department of Geosciences will be offered. One or more adjunct faculty are sought to develop and subsequently teach online graduate level courses for the certificate. The two courses we need developed and taught are the following; a) Mapping and Cartography, taught in the second eight-week session of the fall semester, and b) Advanced GIS, taught in the second eight-week session in the spring semester. The candidate will develop the online courses in consultation with our Quality Matters Online Office. The faculty is responsible for the development, management, and instruction in the course. The faculty is expected to be available for office hours to counsel students regarding course work.

1. PhD in geosciences, geography, geospatial sciences or closely related field with specialization in GIS and geospatial certifications.
2. Demonstrated experience in college-level teaching online or related geospatial sciences.
3. The candidate must be able to demonstrate expertise in GIS and the ability to work with diverse populations.
4. The position is a part time adjunct position in the Department of Geosciences.
