Job Summary/Basic Function:

Primary responsibilities include serving as a mentor for numerous doctoral candidates, reviewing capstone project manuscripts, and providing feedback specific to applied research methods. The faculty mentor will help doctoral students complete capstone projects that are methodologically sound.
Secondary responsibilities may include teaching applied research methods courses for the School of Education. The faculty member is required to complete grading within five days, respond to student emails within 36 hours, check into courses a minimum of every 48 hours, and complete ongoing professional development.

Minimum Qualifications:

•Applicant must have an EdD or PhD in Education.
oDegree must be from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
•Full doctrinal compatibility with Liberty University.
•Must demonstrate expertise in applied research, program evaluation, or mixed methods research in the field of education (PK-12 or Higher Education), to include published research in peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations.
•Superior interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and communication skills required.
•Creative, innovative, and problem-solving skills required.
•Proficiency in MS Office, Canvas, and the Internet.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with an established record of research evidenced by intellectual and professional contributions to the field through peer-reviewed publication and conference presentations. Preference will be given to candidates with capstone, dissertation, or thesis mentorship experience and experience teaching research methods using online learning platforms (e.g., Canvas). Candidates must work well with others and be able to work at a pace that will not delay the progress of a doctoral candidate toward timely completion of the doctoral degree.

Because this is an online position, the work hours will vary throughout the week.
