The Department of Otolaryngology is currently seeking a Clinic Assistant. The incumbent in this position verifies insurance coverage for all Hearing Aid and Baha patients.
Troubleshooting patient devices (walk-ins, emergencies). Does inventory for initial stimulation surgical kits. Serves as the liaison between cochlear implants manufactures and Medical It for updating servers and software upgrades. Serves as a 2nd tester in booth testing. Print operative notes for initial stim day and place in initial stim kit/bag – Pedi and adults. Assist with counseling – including Accessory review and informal discussion with potential patients or their parents. Ordering of in-house cables, pods, etc., as needed. Call companies to check on outstanding orders of replacement pieces, upon request of audiologist. Equipment tracking- documenting new packages into an Excel spreadsheet that come from companies.
