The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Economics (ACE) is searching for an outstanding candidate for a teaching-track/clinical faculty position to teach, design courses and help develop our growing financial planning concentration. We are seeking to fill a full-time, Specialized Faculty appointment (9-month service basis paid over 12 months), with the possibility of summer appointments. Multi-year employment contracts may be available.

The successful candidate will: teach required courses and electives in our financial planning curriculum; work with the Financial Planning Program Director and Department Head to develop and grow an innovative financial planning curriculum; coordinate and coach students at financial planning competitions; attend and mentor students at financial planning professional and association conferences; participate in the strategic growth of the department and program; teach four to five classes in the program per academic year and create a biannual inventive elective; continue to develop the program’s online presence and content portfolio.

Open Track/Open Rank Specialized Faculty: Teaching experience and strong evaluations are required. For the instructional dimension of the position, candidates who hold a Master’s degree will be considered as an Instructor or Sr. Instructor depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates with an earned Ph.D and instructional experience by the time of appointment may be considered as a Lecturer, Sr. Lecturer, Teaching Assistant Professor, or Teaching Associate Professor depending on their instructional and curricular records and potential to provide curricular, online and pedagogical leadership. Candidate must have a CFP® designation.
