The Computer Science Department at the College of Charleston invites applications for one instructor position starting Fall 2021.
The rapidly-growing Computer Science department (http://cs.cofc.edu) has over 450 students who are enrolled in five undergraduate degree programs and two master’s programs. Additionally, the Department delivers content for the Systems Engineering degree (http://engineering.cofc.edu) which began in Fall 2020.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, collegiality, and a passion for teaching. This position is primarily a teaching appointment with four course/lab sections per semester, which will also require professional development and service activities. Candidates with expertise in all areas of computer science are sought to support our undergraduate programs in Computer Science, Computing in the Arts, Computer Information Systems, and Data Science. An earned Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a closely related field is required before August 15, 2021.
