Texas A&M University-San Antonio seeks part-time faculty for the Fall 2021 semester. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate courses in English Composition, Technical Writing, and/or Integrated Reading and Writing based on academic qualifications. The number of available courses and positions will depend on departmental need.
Master’s Degree in English, or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution
A minimum of 18 graduate hours in English or related field
A minimum of one year college or university teaching experience
Experience teaching composition, technical writing, and/or integrated reading and writing preferred
Experience teaching non-traditional, first-generation, culturally diverse students preferred
Experience with contemporary instructional technologies such as learning management systems and e-portfolios preferred
Complete Ph.D. in English or related field preferred

Prior to issuing a letter of appointment, official transcripts must be received directly from each degree-granting institution by the Office of the Dean, College of Arts & Sciences, Texas A&M University-San Antonio, One University Way, San Antonio, Texas 78224. We cannot accept transcripts issued directly to the candidate. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator (e.g., AACRAO; http://www.aacrao.org/credential/index.htm).
The selected candidates must pass a pre-employment background investigation to be hired for this position.
