Job Description

The College of Business is seeking applications from qualified candidates for an adjunct position for Fall 2021. The successful candidate(s) will teach undergraduate courses in the field of Fire and Emergency services Administration. The candidate(s) must have 18 graduate hours in Fire & Emergency Services Administration or related field prior college and/or University teaching experience. Quality performance will be expected in teaching. Preference will be given to applicants that have relevant industry experience and have appropriate Texas licensures, credentials and/or certifications. Also, preference with experience with distance education (hybrid and online), and with working with non-traditional or culturally diverse populations. This position requires on campus teaching as well as online instruction. Teaching assignments include face to face and hybrid courses.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Masters degree required, MPA, Emergency Management, Fire Sciences, Homeland Security.

  • Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in related field.

  • Prior relevant experience .

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Prior college/university teaching experience in a college setting

  • Familiarity with non-traditional commuter University setting.

  • Experience working with culturally diverse populations.

  • Appropriate professional licensure, credential, and/or certification.

  • Experience with Learning Management System such as Blackboard.

  • Experience with delivery of hybrid/blended and online classes.
