Job Description

The Department of Counseling, Health and Kinesiology is currently seeking applicants for Fall 2021 semester from qualified candidates for part-time (one or two classes), non-tenure-track adjunct faculty positions. The Health & Kinesiology Program offers undergraduate and graduate degrees that can prepare students for health- and/or kinesiology-related careers in either a school setting or the public sector. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Health and Kinesiology classes (Exercise Science, Pre-Physical Therapy, and EC-12 Physical Education). Preference will be given to applicants who have evidence of effective teaching of courses in the field of Health and Kinesiology. Teaching assignments include face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online courses in the candidate's area of expertise. Work hours depend on course schedule and teaching assignments may include day, night, and/or weekend courses.

Required Education and Experience:

Undergraduate Faculty : Master's degree in Kinesiology or a commensurate field and 18 graduate hours in Kinesiology

Graduate Faculty : Doctoral degree in Kinesiology or a commensurate field and 18 doctoral hours in Kinesiology


Preferred Education and Experience:

  • University teaching experience

  • Experience mentoring students.

  • Experience with educational technology and distance learning.
