Trinity Christian College seeks a full-time Annual Giving Officer for the Advancement Department.  As the Annual Giving Officer, your primary responsibility is to strategically plan and manage the comprehensive Annual Giving Program for Trinity Christian College. This includes the coordination and oversight of its supporting initiatives. You will work closely with Advancement Services and Major Gifts Officers to shape the sustainable annual support that enables TCC to provide the level of education for which its known.

Your Duties & Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to be able to formulate annual plans that fit into the overall strategies of the College and then move forward with carrying out those plans with limited supervision. You will also regularly engage with outside vendors to produce materials and interact with Trinity's staff, faculty and student workers to accomplish projects on campus.

Aspects of this position include:

Strategic Communications & Program Management

You will provide the strategic direction to grow the Annual Giving Program while supporting the greater development and campaign goals of Trinity Christian College.

  • Formulate and execute a matrix of communication and solicitation strategies involving email, direct mail, telemarketing, personal visitation, social media, online giving platforms, and volunteer engagement
  • Oversee all Annual giving programs, including faculty/staff campaigns, Giving Circles, Annually Funded Scholarships, Trinity Athletics Club, Trinity Business Network, and other programs.
  • Organize and maintain the donor portfolio of annual givers
  • Promote annual giving as a component of a successful Major Gifts and Planned Gift Programs.
  • Focus on effective communication and solicitation activities within specific market segments to expand donor acquisition for continued growth in alumni giving.
Strategy Development & Campaign Execution

In partnership with the Major Gift Officers, you will help determine the annual giving goals and build strategies for moving donors to higher annual giving levels. This will be a comprehensive effort utilizing the resources from Advancement Services and Major Gift Officers' knowledge.

  • Work with Director of Advancement to coordinate annual giving with reunion campaigns and other specialty constituents, such as trustees and alumni board members.
  • Oversee quarterly direct mail campaigns and annual day of giving event - Trinity Tuesday
  • Organize online crowdfunding giving opportunities that benefit the Trinity Fund with the assistance from the Director of Advancement Services and the Alumni and Parent Engagement team.
  • Coordinate and manage an effective multi-channel outreach program.
  • Hire, train and supervise student workers and student managers each semester.
  • Provide timely follow-up to alumni and parents regarding questions and issues that arise during a
  • Work with the Director of Parent and Alumni Engagement to plan and implement a young alumnus giving strategy and a parent giving strategy.
Data Management & Additional Duties

You will work with Advancement Services to provide clean data, ease of access to data, and timely donor stewardship.

  • Work with the Director of Advancement Services in the supporting areas of gift processing, data management and donor relations as related to annual giving.
  • Measure data externally in terms of total dollars, percentage participation, and consistency of giving and average gift size to evaluate the program.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Advancement.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) preferred
  • Two to five years' related experience
Specific Technical Skills & Knowledge Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience with research and CRM platforms
  • Blackbaud/Raisers Edge and GiveCampus platform experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Raiser's Edge Fundamentals Certification is acceptable if previous work experience is sufficient.

Supervisory Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the:

  • Direct supervision of student workers
  • Management of the marketing writers and designers for direct mail.
  • Coordination of Major Gift Officers' work as it pertains to the Trinity Fund.
External Relationships & Contacts

As Annual Giving Officer, you will:

  • Manage the external relationships with the donor base of the College both on the campus and away from the campus in a variety of settings.
  • Maintain a vast database of contact information that will serve as a source of knowledge concern for the College.
