University of Tennessee, KnoxvilleThe Division of Enrollment Management (EM) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UT) invites applications and nominations for an International Recruitment Marketing & Communications Coordinator. The Enrollment Management (EM) division comprises more than 150 full-time staff who serve our students through the following departments and functions: Undergraduate Admissions, International Recruitment, Transfer Center, One Stop Student Services, Financial Aid and Scholarships, University Registrar, EM Communications, and Research & Analytics.
Functions and Responsibilities:
This position supports and implements strategic international recruitment initiatives through the creation and maintenance of international marketing and communication management designed to attract competitive international students to the University of Tennessee. It assists with establishing international recruitment goals through research, leveraging data, and market knowledge to develop innovative and effective international recruitment marketing and communication plans. This marketing and communications driven approach critically supports the overall international recruitment strategy to achieve the University’s international enrollment goals. As part of a team of international student recruiters, this position counsels a diverse group of prospective students and parents from different cultures and backgrounds from around the world. It represents UT at recruitment events globally, coordinates and manages travel, recruitment visits specific to international recruitment within the United States and abroad, and general office duties. It holistically reviews prospective international student applications for admission decisions.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in communications or other related field, and 2 years professional experience developing marketing and/or communication content.Preferred Education and Experience:
2 years or more experience developing and effectively executing digital marketing plans and strategies to attract specified audiences. Ability to develop and align messages for an international audience.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Knowledgeable in graphic design
• Demonstrated proficiency with design software such as Photoshop, Quart, InDesign and/or Illustrator
• Ability to travel domestic and internationallyPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge and Skills Considered Essential for Success:
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional creativity, innovative thinking, and attention to detail
• Ability to problem solve and research solutions
• Ability to design and/or maintain websites
