Job Summary and Description:

Provides leadership in the management and alignment of financial, human, planning, and physical resources for achievement of student success and operational goals of the College. 
 

Reports to the President of the College and interfaces with District Support Services.

Job Duties:

  • Leads the development of the College budget and manages adopted budget in conjunction with the Alamo Colleges District (ACD) budget office
  • Leads and monitors planning, institutional research, and performance initiatives
  • Leads College implementation of the performance budgeting model
  • Coordinates operations with other College and District offices such as acquisitions, public safety, employee services, facilities, information technology, and risk management
  • Participates in the development and implementation of college procedures and district policies
  • Participates, in conjunction with the District Office of Legal Affairs, in the formation, negotiation, and performance monitoring of College contracts
  • Ensures College compliance with policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws
  • Effectively represents the ACD in the community and state
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the President

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, budgeting, or finance or a combination of relevant experience and training with a different degree.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible financial and management experience. 
 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Banner systems experience.
  • Experience in higher education, performance-based budgeting, and knowledge of the Baldridge initiatives, along with state and federal regulations affecting community colleges.
