The Boston University Institute for Sustainable Energy (ISE), in collaboration with Information Technology and Innovation Foundation and the Fraunhofer Center for Advanced Manufacturing, is looking for an AY21-22 postdoctoral fellow with interest and expertise in decarbonizing the major industrial sectors in the U.S. The successful candidate must have:

-demonstrated expertise in techno-economic modeling of technological change in specific sectors of the economy;
-familiarity with the existing energy and emissions models and modeling literature for one or more industrial sectors; and
-a combination education in science, engineering, and industrial policy and climate policy.


The fellow would reside at the ISE, a multidisciplinary university-wide research center on the campus of Boston University; remote options are possible but less preferable. The position is subject to the availability of funding, which will not be guaranteed until approx. 1 May. Must have a Ph.D; be able to undertake substantially full-time research or scholarship work under the supervision of a senior scholar and must have strong quantitative and data analytic skills.
