Oregon Tech is seeking applications for an Instructor of Software/CS in the Department of Computer Systems Engineering Technology. This is a 9-month, full-time position located on the Oregon Tech campus in Wilsonville, Oregon. A qualified applicant should have a strong background in C++ with additional experience in project management and Agile Development. This individual would also be expected to cover classes from some of the following areas: operating system internals, network programming, graphical user interfaces/user experience, design patterns, programming languages, or database design and development. To be clear, we are not expecting one individual with all of these skillsets but these are the areas where we could use some additional help. The primary job duties are teaching, however the candidate will also be expected to provide service to the department, advise students as well other departmental activities. Annual appointment renewal of up to three years will be based upon satisfactory performance review, outstanding performance, staffing needs, and funding. Required: Master’s degree in a related field and Desire to teach and interact with students.
