Job Description:

NOVA Workforce Division is seeking a Nurse Aide Instructor for all Campuses. Instructor will use the State of Virginia Board of Nursing curriculum to prepare nurse aide students to successfully complete the nurse aide certification exam.

Special Assignments:

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications:

Holds a current, unrestricted Virginia license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or holds multistate licensure privilege.

Has 2 years of experience as a RN within the previous 5 years and at least one year of experience in the provision of long-term care facility services (includes experience such as employment in a nurse aide program, employment or supervision of nursing students in a nursing facility or unit, geriatrics department, chronic care hospital, home care or other long-term care setting).
