The criminology program, housed within the newly formed University College, is a top-five major with approximately 600 undergraduate and 35 graduate students. The program has experienced tremendous growth since its 2011 formation; thus, we seek an innovative, equity-minded teacher-scholar to further our growth.Job Summary
The Department of Civic Engagement and Public Service at the University of West Georgia seeks two (2) innovative, equity-minded full-time Limited-Term Instructors in the Criminology discipline for the 2021-2022 academic year, beginning August 1, 2021. A Master’s degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a closely related field is required. The specialty area is open, but the department is especially interested in candidates with experience in policing, corrections and/or juvenile delinquency.. Experience with university teaching is preferred. The position will require online and/or face-to-face instruction. A competitive salary is offered along with a supportive teaching environment.Required Qualifications Master’s degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a closely related field is required.Preferred Qualifications Experience with university teaching is preferred.Proposed Salary
