The College of Education is doctoral granting and SACS accredited, preparing graduates for professional careers in three dynamic areas of focus: Teaching. Leadership, and Wellness. Job Summary The Department of Sport Management, Wellness, and Physical Education seeks a qualified candidate for an Assistant Professor of Health and Community Wellness position. This is a tenure track (10 month) faculty position. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in Health and Community Wellness in both face-to-face (Carrollton and/or Newnan) and online environments, scholarly activity, and service to the Department, College, University, and community.

Required Qualifications Earned doctorate in Health and Community Wellness or similar field from a regionally accredited institution by August 1, 2021 (ABD considered)Experience in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Health and Community Wellness both face-to-face and online environments Maintain and develop service learning, and experiential learning opportunities for studentsAssist in curriculum review and development and program assessmentEstablished or developing research agendaEstablished or developing record of servicePreferred Qualifications
    Practitioner-based experience in health and wellness or a related field

Proposed Salary Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
