Job Summary Oversee the planning, advance, and execution of performances and residencies by visiting professional artists. Manage the contracting process and develop itineraries for artists visiting Georgia Tech. Collaborate with faculty, students, and the Office of the Arts staff to maximize the artistic and academic impact of performances and residencies. Represent Office of the Arts and the Director in the Director's absence.Responsibilities <html><b><u>Job Duty 1 - </u></b>
Manage contract distribution, transportation needs, orientation, and recordkeeping for artist engagements, residencies, and performances.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 2 - </u></b>
Serve as primary liaison with artists and/or agents.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 3 - </u></b>
Collaborate with the Office of the Arts staff, faculty, students, and other stakeholders to plan artist engagements, residencies, and performances.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 4 - </u></b>
Coordinate with staff to manage the technical and event production within the Office of the Arts.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 5 - </u></b>
Develop itinerary and manage advance work for artist visits to campus.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 6 - </u></b>
Assist the Director in identifying residency and performance opportunities and needs.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 7 - </u></b>
Engage with the local community to develop ongoing relationships. Research, initiate and carry out community outreach programming.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 8 - </u></b>
Create and maintain report trends and recommendations for improvement to Director and staff.
<html><b><u>Job Duty 9 - </u></b>
Perform other related duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor degree in Arts, Arts Administration, or related field
Required Experience
Three to five years of experience in arts production, arts education, or related field.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of contracting and insurance requirements. Knowledge of performance technology (AR, VR, projection mapping, etc).
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree
Preferred Experience
Progressive experience in higher education administration or teaching
SKILLS
Ability to connect artist questions with academic research and labs. Knowledgeable of many artistic and academic disciplines, and the ability to facilitate conversations across disciplines. Rich understanding of needs of faculty and artists, and requirements for successful performances and installations. Team-oriented and collaborative mindset, with exceptional communication skills and attitude.
