General Summary
The Senior Accountant - Restricted Accounting is responsible for reviewing, reporting, analyzing, and interpreting complex grants-related accounting information and for monitoring compliance with sponsor and regulatory, GAAP and good internal control requirements. This position also serves as the Restricted Accounting lead on various grant audits and other special regulatory compliance. This position monitors related PeopleSoft system interfaces and budget controls and produces year-end audit work papers and monthly and annual analyses for assigned Statement of Activity and Balance Sheet Accounts.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related degree with equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2-5 years experience in Accounting.


Preferred Requirements

  • Blue Sky or other ERP experience.
  • Prior experience with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements for grants.
  • CPA or MBA


Financial Responsibilities

  • Manage 1/3 to1/2 of University's 200-300 grants accounts.
