    Position Description:

    The 340B Program Manager at the University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC) is responsible for overseeing the 340B program for the entire institution including retail and hospital settings. This position directly manages the 340B coordinators and collectively ensures 340B program compliance through contract management, auditing, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, this position is responsible for initiation and adhering to program policies and procedures along with performing others duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 1. Must be self-directed, motivated and capable of managing personnel

    2. Must be able to work well with the public and other health professionals

    3. Must have effective interpersonal and communication skills

    4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office required

    5. Detail oriented and proven successful analytical skills

    6. Utilizes effective communication to provide excellent customer services

    7. Demonstrates effective and culturally appropriate communications

    8. Able to train, evaluate and supervise professional and technical personnel and staff

    Education/experience/licensing

    1. Must have at least 4 years working in a 340B healthcare setting or Bachelor’s degree in  pharmaceutical sciences, finance, or relevant healthcare/management field

    2. PTCB certification or equivalent

    3. State board of pharmacy licensure as a certified technician

    4. Previous 340B and pharmacy experience required

    5. Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a compliance related role

    6. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision

    7. Familiarity with UT systems and health-care discipline a plus 

    Communication and Other Skills

    1. Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft processing and related applications

    2. Must be flexible and able to manage multiple high priority demands

    3. Must possess excellent written, verbal and communication skills

    4. Willingness to work flexible hours

    5. Serve as a conduit to the public and community about the program

    Working Conditions:This employee works in a professional office setting requiring a high degree of professionalism and precision. It can be stressful at times. The employee in this position is expected to alternately deal with a variety of tasks including customer service, phone calls and reporting. Physical demands include standing or walking, and lifting not more than 50 pounds.
