The Department of Educator and Leadership Preparation is seeking to establish a pool of qualified applicants for part-time adjunct faculty positions in Special Education. We are looking for doctoral candidates to teach graduate day and/or evening, face-to-face, online, and blended courses in the following discipline: Special Education and Educational Diagnostician. Candidates must have a strong background in special education, data- based decision making, evidence-based instruction as well as experience with teaching students with exceptionalities in elementary and/or secondary public U.S. schools. The adjunct faculty will prepare and teach the assigned class following a syllabus guideline, maintain appropriate records, assign earned grades, report needed data to the department, and complete all necessary development assessment information. Courses taught will depend on needs and will vary across semesters.
Required Education and Experience:
An earned Doctorate degree in education related field from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate hours in Special Education
Experience teaching exceptional students in PK-12 settings
Experience working with diverse students and families
Preferred Education and Experience:
An earned Doctorate degree in Special Education from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate hours in assessment, evaluation, or closely related field
Previous teaching experience in higher education, preferably with first-generation college students
Experience of special education clinical, practicum, and/or field supervision

email before the hiring process is complete. Prior to issuing a letter of appointment, official transcripts must be received directly from each degree-granting institution by the Search Committee at the address or email listed below.
