The College of Engineering at The University of Texas Permian Basin seeks outstanding applicants for a visiting professor faculty position in the Department of Electrical Engineering effective as of Fall 2021. We are interested in areas of communication, control, electrical machines, and power systems. The successful candidate may have an opportunity to teach technical elective courses in the area of their research and will also perform ABET assessment for all courses taught. He/she should have plans to involve undergraduate students in their research. The teaching load will be 12 credit hours. The position may be for one year but renewal subject to the availability of funds.

The University’s new Electrical Engineering Program is situated in the heart of the Permian Basin, one of the most important petroleum-producing regions in the world, and faculty often have the opportunity to partner with large companies on student projects and grants directed at problems related to oil production and its associated manufacturing and processing industries.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Employment is subject to an introductory period to monitor employee performance. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Interested applicants must have an earned doctorate degree in electrical engineering at the time of appointment.
