The College of Engineering at the University of Texas Permian Basin welcomes applicants for the position of Visiting Faculty in the Department of Chemical Engineering. This position is for one year starting in the Fall of 2021 and may be renewed for an additional year subject to availability of funding.

Job Description
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in Chemical Engineering. Preference will be given to those candidates that have experience teaching undergraduate courses in the areas of fluid mechanics, chemical engineering thermodynamics, heat transfer, and mass transfer. Prior experience in teaching any college-level course is a plus. Successful candidates will also perform ABET assessments for all courses taught.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Employment is subject to an introductory period to monitor employee performance. If hired, the prospective employee must present documentation within three (3) days of hire date to establish their identity and employment eligibility as required by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Must be able to operate a licensed motor vehicle, have access to a dependable motor vehicle, and possess a valid state driver’s license. Must have and maintain a satisfactory driver’s record.

4. Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment.
5. Engage undergraduates in research activities.
