Position Summary
We seek candidates for two Research Assistant Professor positions, non-tenure track, to begin as early as April 2021. These Research Assistant Professors will collaborate with Dr. Galena Rhoades on several federally-funded grants and contracts primarily focused on the evaluation of relationship education programs for youth, women, and couples. Research Assistant Professors will advance their own research by publishing from these projects and other existing datasets and through the collaborative development of new projects and grant applications. These positions are fully-funded for five years, with the expectation that the Research Assistant Professors will secure addition funding to continue thereafter. Successful applicants will have a strong program of research in basic science on couples and families and/or related interventions. Candidates should also be committed to working with diverse populations and advancing social justice. For those with interest and degrees in fields allowing for clinical practice, accumulating hours for licensure is also offered.

Essential Functions

  • Work collaboratively with a team of other faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students to successfully implement large-scale descriptive and impact (randomized) evaluations of community-based programs for youth, women, and families.
  • Liaise with community partners and programs for implementation of studies.
  • Develop and maintain systems for accurate data collection and timely reports.
  • Examine research questions from these and other basic science and/or intervention datasets.
  • Disseminate findings through reports, briefs, conference and community presentations, publications in academic journals.
  • Innovate in developing new projects and grant applications.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Psychology or related field of study. ABD considered with completion date before June 1, 2021.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.
  • Excellent training and experience with a range of study designs and statistical analysis approaches.
  • Background and/or demonstrated interest working in the community and with culturally diverse populations.

The salary grade for the position is UC.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
