The Sr. Health Promotion Specialist is part of the Tulane University Campus Health team of committed professionals dedicated to supporting and promoting student health and wellbeing as a core institutional value through a multidisciplinary, comprehensive approach. The Sr. Health Promotion Specialist resides within the Well for Health Promotion and reports to the Director of Public Health Initiatives and Assessment. The individual in this position is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive health promotion initiatives for graduate and professional students. The Sr. Health Promotion Specialist focuses on a variety of topics including mental well-being, alcohol and other drugs, sexual violence prevention, stress management, sleep hygiene, and sexual health.The Sr. Health Promotion Specialist position provides prevention, intervention and comprehensive public health approaches for graduate and professional students, with an emphasis on the Downtown Tulane Campus. This position oversees initiatives that include, but are not limited to knowledge and skills acquisition workshops, community engagement, social marketing and communication, and a variety of other evidence informed interventions. The individual in this position sits on a variety of Campus Health and campus-wide committees. This position provides the vision and growth of The Well for Health Promotion by coordinating a wide array of campus education and outreach programming. - Master's degree in health promotion, health education, community health education, school health education, or related field of study.
- 3 years of experience in a health promotion/public health setting.
- Three years' experience in a college health setting.
- Experience working with graduate and professional students.
- CHES or CPH Certified
