Job Summary:

Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate courses in music education, including string methods; supervise student teachers and coordinate clinical experiences in public schools; advise students; maintain an active agenda of scholarly and creative achievement; provide service to the institution and to the profession.

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctorate in Music Education by time of appointment. Undergraduate or graduate degree in music education, with a minimum of three years public school teaching in instrumental music as a specialist in strings.

This position is available to persons who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time and indefinite basis. (Persons authorized to work on such a basis include US citizens, lawful permanent residents (“green card” holders), asylees, refugees, and temporary residents under IRCA.)

Desired Qualifications:

Consideration may be given to candidates with teaching experience at the college level.
