Position:

 

Trinity Christian College invites applications for a full-time position in the Education department, beginning August 2021. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across our undergraduate and graduate programs. Candidates will have special education expertise in behavior analysis, assistive technology, special education law, and/or assessment, and have K-12 special education teaching experience.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. or Ed.D. required in Special Education or related field. BCBA or BCBA-D certification and previous college-level teaching experience are desired.

Trinity seeks faculty candidates who are professing Christians and are committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Successful candidates will possess the ability to articulate the relationship between their academic discipline, the vocational preparation of their students, and a vision for human flourishing that emerges from the Christian faith. Successful candidates are also dedicated to personal involvement with students outside of the classroom through advising and other informal academic and cultural settings.

Responsibilities:

This ideally is a 9-month tenure-track faculty position that includes teaching fall, spring, and possibly summer. Specific teaching assignments will depend on how the candidate's area of expertise intersects with department needs. Potential areas include behavior analysis, tests and measurements, instructional strategies, and intensive interventions for students with disabilities. Other special education courses could be taught based on the needs of the Education Unit. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, meeting with prospective students, participation in the life of the department, scholarly and professional achievement, and college service.

Compensation:

Rank and salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, pension, life insurance, and disability insurance.
