Job Details
The School of Social Work in the College of Health and Human Services, invites applications for Continuing Education Seminar Instructors in the field of Social Work. We offer a broad range of professional development workshops on a continuous year-round basis, our current list of continuing education workshops can be found at Social Work Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
Depending on the needs of the program within the School, which varies from semester to
semester, we are developing a pool of qualified Continuing Education Seminar Instructor
applicants to develop and facilitate Continuing Education Seminars in keeping with Michigan
Continuing Education Collaborative guidelines.
Continuing Education Seminar instruction includes successful completion of the Michigan
Continuing Education Collaborative Continuing Education Application, planning a minimum
three hour workshop, synchronous or asynchronous seminar in keeping with Collaborative
guidelines, and facilitation of the workshop.
CE Seminar Instructors will work with the School of Social Work’s CEU Coordinator for
development and approval of seminar content.
Credentials relevant to the course presentation including at least one of the following:
education, publication, or practice experience in the subject area
Teaching, facilitation, or program delivery experience
In-person, Zoom, and other on-line learning tool experience preferred
Compensation and date of continuing education workshop is dependent upon topic and
length of the workshop
Applicants should submit a completed Continuing Education Seminar application, cover letter (indicating the area of specialization), and CV or resume
